As schools prepare to re open for a new term this year, parents are being advised to make decisions that are cost effective by choosing convenient schools within the community to save money and balance off the hard economic times.
The advise was made by Dr Patrick Wakida the proprietor of Stone Ridge School in Bulindo in Kiira Municipality.
Stone Ridge is the first school that is teaching a local curriculum from pre-primary to Primary seven-P 7 based on international standards with in the local community .
Dr Wakida explains that because of high transportation costs coupled with early waking up of children, which affects both parents and learner, he decided to on to invest in setting up a school with in the community.
He is also advising schools against piling children with homework as its the responsibility of the teachers to teach children at school and leave time for children to refresh while at home.
Operating under the motto ” Learn, Inspire and Discover”. Stone Ridge school is focusing on supporting a generation of learners and future leaders that can imagine, innovate and inspire through embracing challenge in the dynamic world.
The school set up in the middle of an average class population has kicked off the enrollment process, with a key milestone of cultivating an international mindset and a sense of of Global responsibility through academics and co-curricular activities.
